Growing Profile & Schedule
- Planting Window: Best planted in autumn, from September to November (or up to January). It requires a period of cold winter conditions to successfully split into individual cloves.
- Harvest Time: Ready for early harvesting by mid-summer (June to August). You will know it is ready when the bottom leaves start yellowing and fading.
- Planting Depth: Separate the bulb into individual cloves. Plant each clove with the pointed tip facing up, about 2.5cm below the soil surface (or up to three times the depth of the clove).
- Spacing: Allow 15cm between cloves and 30cm between rows
