A vigorous, deciduous climber with divided leaves on clinging vines, which turn from rich green to shades of bright brick red in the autumn. Inconspicous green flowers in the summer are followed by small, attractive blue-black berries. Parthenocissus quinquefolia are listed on Schedule 9 of the UK Wildlife & Countryside Act as an invasive non-native species.
