Coprosma Pacific Dawn

The foliage of this handsome evergreen shrub is a dazzling mix of green, creamy yellow, red and copper, but as the temperatures drop, the colour intensifies and turns a deep maroon-purple. It creates a bold splash of colour in the border, or could be used as a stand-alone specimen, but because it is relatively compact, it also does really well in a large(ish) pot.
Plants remain attractive, with persistent colorful foliage, in patio plantings and full sun.
In spring, lightly trim any branches that spoil the symmetry of the plant. Afterwards apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of well-rotted leaf mould or composted pine needles around the base of the plant.
Grows 1 – 1.5 m high x 1 m wide.
