Hypericum Hidcote

10.99

1.2m ht x 1.2m sp

One of the most popular and reliable hypericums, originally found in a garden and probably a hybrid of ‘Rose of Sharon’. It is generally very hardy – where prolonged hard frost may reduce some of its stems to ground level, new growth reappears in the spring.

The golden yellow flowers are more than 5cm (2in) across and are some of the largest found in the genus. They appear in great profusion in shade and even more copiously in full sun and last for several months. Hard pruning is tolerated if the plant become too large.
