Magnolia soulangeana

The Magnolia x soulangeana, commonly known as the Saucer Magnolia, is one of the most popular deciduous hybrid magnolias in the world, prized for its large, goblet-shaped pink and white flowers that bloom in early spring.

• Flowers: Produces massive, fragrant blooms (up to 25cm across) typically featuring a deep pink or purple base that fades to a pale white interior.
• Foliage: Broad, glossy green leaves emerge just after or alongside the flowers, turning a golden-brown in autumn.
• Growth Habit: It is a slow-growing plant that can be trained as a multi-stemmed shrub or a small, spreading tree, eventually reaching heights of 6–9 metres (20–30 feet).
