  • Size and Spread: It typically reaches a mature height of 10 to 15 metres with a spread of 6 to 10 metres. It is naturally more compact, slower-growing, and more tightly branched than the standard wild species.
  • Foliage: The medium-to-dark green lobed leaves feature a attractive blue-grey bloom on their undersides during spring and summer. In autumn, the foliage transitions quickly into a dramatic, consistent scarlet display. 
  • Form: It develops a neat, symmetrical, and dense rounded crown, making it a beautiful standalone specimen tree.
  • Flowers: In early spring, it produces small clusters of greenish-yellow or red flowers on bare branches before the leaves emerge.
